Our History
The Kalicka family opened Tasty Shirt Company in 1977. After 25-years in the record industry doing promotions for Warner Bros. Eddie Kalicka decided it was time to switch things up. Relatives on the West Coast were looking to expand their retail t-shirt shops and it seemed like the perfect opportunity.
The Kalicka family moved to LA and began learning the ins and outs of the t-shirt business both from the retail side and the wholesale screen-printing side. Fast forward a few years and the Kalicka’s decided to take the business back home to the DC area and open a retail store and a wholesale screen-print production facility. With over 40 years of experience, we provide the highest quality screen printing and embroidery. In the music industry, ‘tasty’ was used to describe the freshest new tunes on the scene…and with that, Tasty Shirt Company was born!
